Gift Card Holder

Good Morning! Snow is still on the ground here today, but the sun is shining, how about for you?
This morning's card was actually made for one of the SCS Challenges, but I didn't get it finished for a while so it hasn't been uploaded to the gallery over there yet, but it will :) Better late than never right???

I love how all these CC Designs sets work together. They are so much fun!! For this card I used the elf from Sugarplum North Pole, the tree and the gifts from Sugarplum Christmas Scenery Set and the "Merry & Bright" from AmyR Stamps - Christmas Sentiments set. I colored everything with Copics and added my essentials white highlights and liquid applique to the puff on the elf's hat, gems to the gree and glitter pen various places. I also used my EK Success corner punch.

On the inside I used again a gift from the Sugarplum Christmas Scenery Set and the circle stamps are from an Art Warehouse clear set. Another fun part about this card is that the middle section folds and there is a slit in it where the gift card fits right in so it doesn't fall all over inside the card, it has it's very own place :)

Another fun one to make and I hope to make some more because I am giving some gift cards this year. :)

Sneak Peek of new AmyR stamps!

Good Morning! Today's cards are sneak peeks of AmyR's new stamps which will be released tomorrow (Monday, Nov. 24th) at 10:00pm est at All That Scraps.

On to the cards: the little onesie is part of the set as well as the sentiment :) You know Amy, she wants us to have everything we need when designing a card and she's good at providing it in her sets too!

I also used the Nestabilities Labels 2 set for the mattings of the onesie! Of course I added ribbon and dew drops. I also used scraps of paper I had. Sorry, I'm on a roll using scraps :)

The next card was soooooooo much fun! I love this sentiment!!!! Again I used scrap papers, but coloring these shoes was a blast! I used Copics and then my essentials white pen for highlights. There is also a little glitter pen (silver) on the rain boots :) Gotta get some bling in there somewhere :)

I'm back again - this time for a while :)

Good Morning! I'm home from my trip to Houston. I had so much fun with my friends scrapbooking for lots of hours with a bit of shopping thrown it :) And then I went to my sister's house and got to see my nieces and nephews and I even got to see my youngest nephew play football (he's the kicker and he did a GREAT job!)

Now I'm back home and have lots of catching up to do. Yesterday Amy R released her Christmas stamp sets and they are fabulous! You can see them here. This card uses two of the sets! The ornaments were made with the Build a Holiday set and if you go to the All That Scraps Gallery you will see that the pieces can be used to make lots of different things :)

I made ornaments with mine and used Basic Grey's Wassail paper. I love this set. The colors in my picture came out a little bit bright, sometimes greens are hard for me to get right in pictures, so think of the card with a little subtler color :) The Joy sentiment is from Amy's set Christmas sentiments and there is also a set with Christmas verses so you'll have something to stamp on the inside of your cards. She has covered everything :)

All That Scraps will be starting sneak peeks for the November releases soon, so I will be busy working on those for a while. There are fabulous new sets coming so check back to see what's coming. You can also blog hop on the DT blogs listed on the left.

I got my scrapbooking room somewhat cleaned up (not completely, but definitely better than it was) so I can happily go in there and work now. I was 'misplacing' things and getting frustrated because my desk was so messy, so I'm a happy girl now.

The All That Scraps challenge is tomorrow too, so be sure to check back to see that and try out the challenge, it's a fun one!

See, it's going to be busy for a while, although I did start my Christmas shopping while I was gone and now I have lots of ideas for other things because I had lots of time on the planes to think :)

Okay, I'll stop just rattling now and share our quote for the day, have a fabulous day!!!

It's Wednesday - Time for the ATS Challenge

Good Morning! It feels good to be getting back to my regular schedule of posting in the mornings :) It's cool outside today and really feels like fall. My post yesterday gave you a change from my fall colors that I've been working with lately, but today's is more of the fall stuff :) The ATS Challenge for this week is a sketch challenge and the sketch is below:

My card uses some of the new Basic Grey paper "Ambrosia" - you can get the 6X6 pack and the individual 12X12 sheets here. Very cool colors, different from their 'norm'. I also used AmyR's stamps Amy's Boutique and Boutique Sentiments. I used my cuttlebug embossing folder on the strips under the image and added buttons from Daisy D's and some ribbon, oh yeah, and a dew drop :) This is a great sketch so please play along and upload your creation to the gallery for us to see.

It's All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge

Good Morning! This morning's challenge is a color challenge. These are always fun, but since I don't have any SU paper, my first challenge is always trying to find the right papers to use :) I think my teal is a little darker than Baja Breeze this time, but I tried :)

This was a fun card to make and I love kraft paper. I used the kraft paper as my card base and embossed it with cuttlebug paisley embossing folder. Then I sponged some of my teal ink onto the embossing, you can't see it as well in the picture because it's subtle, but it's there. I used AmyR Stamps "Amy's Boutique" set and the "Boutique Sentiments" as my stamps. I paper pieced the dress with paper I got from the DCWV Fall Stack (I know so many of you don't use these, but I have to say last year's Christmas one and this year's fall one have been so much fun to use. ) There are still a few papers in there that I will probably never use, but not many :)
Back to the card, I pieced her belly band (hee hee) with my baja breeze color.
The red is Bazzill Basics and I cut it with my rectangle nesties and pierced holes in the scallops, I also cut the rectangle around the dress with my plain rectangle nesties and then embossed the frame around it. This piece got sponged with the teal color as well. I put all the pieces on the card, added the prima flower and the dew drops, tied the ribbon and it's finished :)

You can check out the gallery at All That Scraps to see more projects for this challenge.
Be sure to upload your creation for this challenge. Remember Christine and Amy are looking for a guest designer and will be basing it on projects uploaded to the gallery.

Sneak Peek for CC Designs Sept. Releases :)

Good Morning! It's such an exciting morning! See this card above, it's a sneak peek of two of the new sets that CC Designs will be releasing on September 9th! It's fabulous and it's illustrated by our own Amy Rysavy. It's her first two sets to be released. I'm just giddy about it! You can see other samples of her new stamps on her blog. Amy's sets are perfect to paper piece and there are so many sentiments to go with them.

For my card, I started with a prism card base and then used papers from Basic Grey's sultry line. The tag is cut with my quickutz and then I stamped the sentiments on it. I added ribbon, dew drops, pop dots and a baby safty pin to attach the tag. These are so easy to work with. Great sets Amy!!!! So much fun!

In the next few days you will see sneak peeks of the rest of the CC Designs September release sets too and you will just be giddy too! They are sooooo much fun to play with so be sure to check out all the design team blogs as well as the All That Scraps blog to get just a hint of what's to come.
