Banana Split Sunday - Cardstock Only

Hi! It's Banana Split Sunday again! :)

This week's challenge is called "Cardstock Only" and is to use only cardstock and one other embellishment. I seem to have an addiction to patterned paper, so when I was thinking about what to use on this card, I kept picking up patterned paper!!

But in the end, this is what I came up with and I have to say, it was pretty fun to make!

Supplies:

Stamps: April Journaling Spot - 2RedBananas

Ink: Versafine Vintage Sepia

Paper: Cardstock

Other: Dahlia Nestabilities (on sale now), Dew Drops - soil, EKSuccess border punch, Cuttlebug embossing folder

We would love for you to play along too! Just hop on over to the 2RedBananas blog. You will be able to see more samples from the dt and link your creation to the post.

Celebrate Love

Hi! Still cold here, so I'm just drinking my coffee and hot tea and living in my fleece and sweats for a while :)

This card was made for the Featured Stamper challenge on SCS. I started with a kraft card base (I've been using a lot of kraft lately, it seems to go with everything I've been doing). I also used Imaginisce's Loves Me line. Again with my double sided papers although these are two different pieces and not both sides of one piece. The path to my sewing machine is clear again, so I can sew again :) I used a Stampendous Valentine's set from last year - Yay me :)

Here you can see the Shimmerz and how much they really sparkle, I REALLY love them. I used royal red and bubblegum.

I also used my Curved Rectangles Nesties to cut the sentiment and the red matting for it. Then I just doodled around both rectangles and pop-dotted the sentiment one on the top of the red one. I added bling to the paper ribbon piece and that was finished.

We are less than a week away from the beginning of the "Week of Peeks" on the 2RedBananas blog. We will start on January 26th and feature a different set each day until the release on February 2nd. It's going to be so much fun and I can't wait for you to see the new sets!!!

ATS Wednesday Challenge

Good Morning! It's Wednesday and that means All That Scraps Challenge. As you can see below our challenge is a technique challenge, making a pizza box. You can go here for the tutorial.

This was so much fun to make. I used CC Designs "LuLu's Sweet Delights" stamp set, red cardstock and some Christmas dp, my nestabilities, Copics, a white souffle pen, some ric rac, some gems and some spica glitter pens. I'm pretty sure that's it!

I decorated all the sides of mine as well as the inside :) Ooops, I did use the McGill window punch for the sentiment.

I will be using mine for a gift card this Christmas and I'm pretty sure I will be making some more to use for gift cards. What a fun way to 'wrap' a gift card! I just used my paper shredder from our office to make the red shredded paper on the inside.

This was an easy project and you could decorate them anyway you wanted.

Oh, I did use my Scor-Pal and once again I will tell you how much I LOVE it!!!! It made scoring these lines so easy without having to move my paper. Definitely a MUST-HAVE product in my book :)

Okay, I have to go get dressed now. I will leave you with a quote. And a public service annoucement: try the challenge, it's fun! Be sure to post it to the All That Scraps Gallery so we can see what you came up with too :)
